    <value>Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in shades of purplish-blue; the glaze on the reverse is greyish-white. Circular with deep curved sides and everted rim, standing on a wide footring pierced by a suspension hole. The front is decorated with half-length portraits of William III and Mary II, both crowned, under a draped curtain with tassels on cords dangling between the monarchs. Below them is a horizontal band inscribed ':K.W.D.3.'  a four petalled motif  '.M.S.K.I.K.V.G.B.T.' The rim is encircled by a band. The reverse is decorated on the sides with alternating radiating strokes and circles, eight of each.</value>
