The paper is cut around the panel in an arch with small circular perforations and scalloped design around the edges. The silk panel is mounted with delicate cutwork silhouettes: a tree of paper painted in gold leaf, flanked by male and female figures to left and right. A winged figure of silver paper, probably Cupid carrying an arrow, hangs from the tree at the centre. Two birds and flowers to left and right all of red paper. The opposite leaf is folded and cut away with cutwork motto: 'LOVE' with a design of hearts and arrows.
