The priest wears a beretta, cape, long gown with lace over-gown, and a crucifix. He sits on a chair which has a high back with a scrolled edge. The table has four paw feet, an apron decorated with scrolls and anthemion, and a flat top, incurved on all sides, and pierced by two circular holes for the inkwells, both of which are missing. One hole is covered by two books (A), and the other by a book with a skull placed on one corner (B). The priest has his left hand over a small book and in his right, holds an object which is partly missing. Beside his right hand there is a small squat jar. In front ofhim, painted on the table top there is a sheet of paper with three lines of illegible writing in blue. The figure and table are supported by a rectangular base with a curved side at the back and a step-moulding running round all four sides.
