Cup and Saucer/Teacup. New Hall Porcelain Factory, Staffordshire. The cup is of Bute shape with an oval ring handle. The circular saucer is circular with curved sides, standing on a footring. The exterior of the cup is decorated with a landscape with a tree, a man and woman beside a pond, a fence, a large bridge, a house, and a tree. There are gold bands round the base and rim, inside which there is a border of a continuous spray of leaves and buds. At the bottom there is a fruit on a stalk. The back of the handle is decorated with stylized leaves. The saucer is decorated to match with the gold border around it, and a gold band on the rim. Pattern number 1154. Bone china, painted underglaze in blue, overglaze in pale apricot and red enamels, and gilded. Height, cup, 6 cm, width, cup, 10.3 cm, diameter, cup, 8.4 cm, height, saucer, 3 cm, diameter, saucer, 14.2 cm, circa 1815-1820. Imari style.
