  <description>
    <value>fritware, probably wheel thrown, coated in a white slip painted in black and blue under a cracked, colourless glaze.
Shape: hemispherical bowl on a low foot ring.
Interior: below the rim a narrow frieze of triangles. On the body, panels containing a blue diagonal cross flanked by semi-ovals with black radiating lines. In the roundel, three lattice structures (possibly stylised pagodas) flanked by linear vegetation.
Exterior: the pattern on the interior rim and body is matched on the exterior, terminating here with a blue concentric band on the lower body and foot. The glaze extends to the underside of the base, where it is thin and blistered, but does not cover the rim of the foot ring.</value>
