    <value>cream earthenware figure of a shepherdess and lamb decorated with coloured lead-glazes</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>Cream earthenware, press-moulded, and painted with clear blue-tinted, blue, pale green, pale yellow, dull brownish-pink, and brown lead-glazes, and gilded. The shepherdess and her lamb stand on a circular rocky base supported on a low square plinth which is hollow underneath and has a central circular ventilation hole under the figure. The shepherdess looks towards her left, and has her left arm raised to hold a crook, now missing. She wears a white cap with a round green hat perched on top of it, a chemise, a low-necked brown dress with a yellow petticoat, and a white apron which is draped over her right lower arm. A cluster of flowers and fruits rest on top of it. The lamb is seated on her left, and is looking round her skirt towards the viewer.</value>
