Shape: flat everted rim on a bi-conical bowl with a low foot ring
Interior: a radiating design comprises an eight pointed star in blue and black separating black cone shaped cartouches which close in arcading on the rim. The cartouches contain, alternately, black cursive script on a hatched ground, or black dots and lines flanked by borders of turquoise or blue. In the spandrels around the arches on the rim, black scrolling vegetation is coloured with blue or turquoise. Three trivet marks in the base indicate use of tripod stacking devices during firing.
Exterior: the rim is painted black. On the body vertical lines radiate between concentric bands, all in black. Glaze covers the surface unevenly, running over the carination onto the lower body, with a spot on the underside of the foot ringC.543-19911accession numberC.543-199175478priref75478packing numberISCER 541urihttps://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/75478https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/75478wedge shaped panels with Arabic inscription against a hatched ground or line and dotsinteriorhand painted in blackal-`izzinscriptioncircular paper label with serrated edgeexterior base, underside foot ringhand written in pencil455/alabelreferenceagent-149638adlib-agent-1496387376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8The Fitzwilliam MuseumH.
