Off-white stoneware, thrown, salt-glazed, and painted in pale blue, two shades of green, yellow, two shades of pink, black, and white enamels. The mug has a large bell shaped body with a slightly flared lip, a wide reeded handle, and stands on a foot. The sides are decorated in imitation of Chinese famille rose with a lady flanked by a girl who is offering her flowers, and a boy holding a carafe and offering her a glass of liquid. To the right of them is a large flowering tree which over-hangs them, and a wooden fence. The rest of the jug is decorated with other flowering plants and blue rocks. There is also a border of lappets and Chinese symbols around the rim.
