Stoneware with incised decoration, and celadon glaze. The charger is heavily potted, of saucer shape, and stands on a low footrim enclosing a rough, unglazed ring on the base, which has burnt reddish brown in the firing. The centre of the interior is incised with a lozenge and trellis pattern within a triple line foliate border. The cavetto is encircled by a knife-carved frieze of flowering stems, the open blooms with pointed petals spaced amongst curly foliate scrolls. Later wooden stand (A).
