  <description>
    <value>White salt-glazed stoneware seated dog.</value>
  </description>
  <description>
    <value>White stoneware slip-cast and salt-glazed. The dog sits on an octagonal base and turns it head slightly to one side. It wears a thick, ribbed collar with a teardrop-shaped pendant and has a plain raised band around each of its front legs. It has a long, straight applied tail. Around the base is a ribbed relief border. Dashes encircle the eyes and mouth of the dog, suggesting eyelashes and teeth respectively. U-shaped markings cover the ears. Brown slip decorates the eyes and the teardrop pendant.</value>
