It has horizontal cordons at the top and bottom, and on the sides three vertical panels each moulded in relief with the royal arms of England as borne by the Tudors, with small cupids in the corners, and below, a cartouche with the date '1594' above the initials 'HH'. The area under and below the handle has slightly raised horizontal bands.
