The jug has a bulbous body standing on a slightly spreading base, a cylindrical neck, and a small angular strap handle. There are turned bands round the base, the junction of the neck and body and below the rim at the top. The salt-glaze is coarse and mottled in varying shades of brown, one side being much darker than the other.
