The mug has a globular body standing on a disk base, a short cylindrical neck with horizontal rilling, and a loop handle with a slight longitudinal ridge. Applied to the front is an octagonal panel enclosing a the date 1682 over a double cross flanked by G and R surrounded by scrolls and stylized plant motifs. On either side there are symmetrical incised branching stems bearing pointed dotted leaves, a human mask between leaves, and various stylized flowers extending towards the handle.
