An accidental splodge of cobalt blue is below the rim near the handle on one side. The jug stands on a circular disk base. It has bulbous sides, contracting into a cylindrical neck, the top of which is pinched at the front to form a lip. The strap handle tapers towards its lower junction with the body, and has a hole on the top to take a mount for a cover. The sides are decorated with three horizontal bands of applied moulded reliefs of stylized leaves, alternating with two bands of impressed lines with a straight upper and lower edge, and two with wavy upper and lower edges.
