The figure is supported on a rectangular, straight-sided base, which is open underneath and some of the glaze has dribbled into the interior. The woman's hair is drawn back into a low chignon, and she is dressed in classical costume. She stands facing towards the viewer with her right foot crossed over her left. In her right hand she holds a a partly unrolled scroll and rests her elbow on the top of a truncated column standing on a square base.
