The woman stands on a circular base with an upturned edge. Her hair and features are drawn in brown. She wears a dress with a full, striped skirt decorated with two flounces. Its green bodice has narrow sleeves, widening at the elbow. Round her neck and shoulders she wears a striped scarf, crossed over in front and fastened with a circular brooch. Her hat has an upturned brim; the hollow crown serves as a receptacle for the oil. On each side it has a projection with a hole on top for a wick. She holds a yellow mandolin. The back is undecorated.
