Sculpture. Head of St John the Baptist (?). The head is bent forward, the hair hanging in long ringlets. The face is drawn and grief stricken with the lips parted; the nose is thin and aquiline. Italian lime wood, with traces of original polychrome, height 12 in, width 10 in, depth 8 in, c. 1470-1500. Production Place: Italy.
