Japanese fukusa with two scenes

Two diagonally facing scenes, one of a female figure carrying a sword and riding a unicorn (kirin), the other of a pheasant and peonies. Length, whole, 63.5 cm, width, whole, 63.5 cm, circa 1854. Acquisition Credit: Given by Mrs. Soame Jenyns, in accordance with the wishes of her late husband, Soame Jenyns.
