  • Milk/Cream Jug. Chelsea Porcelain Manufactory. The lobed baluster-shaped body stands on a waisted lobed foot, and is moulded with spiralling branches of coloured tea plant. The bifurcated handle issues from an acanthus-moulded cartouche, and has two acanthus terminals.This forms part of the 'tea-plant' series of Chelsea triangle wares. Soft-paste porcelain, moulded, glazed, and painted overglaze in polychrome enamels, circa 1745-1749. Chelsea, England. Acquisition: given 1941, National Art Collections Fund.
