The detachable central back plate is engraved with a Chinoiserie scene of hoho birds, exotic plants and a pagoda. The scroll branch supports a detachable circular drip pan (A) and screw-on sconce, both decorated with gadrooned borders. Behind the back plate is a wood pad covered with maroon velvet. Pair with M.52A-1961.
