Two-handled cup. Loving cup. Unidentified glasshouse, England. The thistle-shaped bowl has moulded vertical gadrooning round the lower part and stands on a low foot. It has an applied trailed thread about half way up the side. On each side it has an applied strap handle with an upward kick at the lower end. In the middle of the underside there is a pontil mark. Clear lead-glass, height, whole, 11.9 cm, width, whole, 16.5 cm, diameter, foot, 7.1 cm, 1710-1720. Baroque. Sir Ivor and Lady Batchelor Bequest through The Art Fund.
