Decorated in the centre with a gold crown of TC monogram (Carl Theodore) surrounded by a sunburst with wavy rays. Around this are thirty radiating comparmens outlined in gold, each painted with a spray of flowers, and numberered 1-3, next compartment unnumbered, 5, 1-8, 108, and 1-6. Flowers 1-3 are gold 4 puce and gold, 5 red and gold, 108 shades of blue, 1-8 shades of yellow to yellowish-brown, 1-6 shades of bluish-green. On the sides of the well is an inscription in Latin VARIANTIBVS FLOSCVLIS DIVERSIL COLORES FABRICA SVB REVIVI GENTIS SOLIS HVIVS RADIIS EXVLTANTIS IN FRANKENTAAL*’ in letters of unequal size in gold between gold bands. On the rim there are thirty raditaing panels outlined in gold painted with a floral spray of a rose and tulip, numbered 1-4, 1-8 , a and b 1a-1d and 2a, 2b 3 and 4. Sprays 1-4 are black, 1-8, a and b puce-purple, 1a – 1d and 2a, 2b 3 and 4, iron red. There is a gold band on the edge. He stated that the plate had been sent to the Elector Palatine, Carl Theodore, on 11 August 1775, and as a result he was given the title Hofkammerat, and a salary to go with it. He did not give documentary sources.
