The Annunciation. Rossetti, Dante Gabriel (British, 1828-1882). Bodycolour on paper, laid down on fine linen on a stretcher, height 654 mm x width 267 mm, 1861. Production Notes: A design for a pulpit in St. Martin's Church, Scarborough, carried out by the Morris firm and forming two panels, the Archangel in the upper one looking down at the Virgin below.
