It is written by Isa Blagden's uncle, William Bracken. In the letter, Bracken says he came to Florence after hearing of ‘poor Isa Blagden’s death’. He understood that Robert Brooding had already heard the news otherwise would have written sooner. He has been searching with ‘his niece Annette’ for a will however no will has been found: ‘I conclude your Isa did not make a will’. Therefore it will be difficult to arrange her affairs. They went through her correspondence and these were mostly ‘indifferent’ or have been burnt, however ‘but in regard to your letters, wherever found I have thought it right to retain – also some of your poor wife’s to Isa – and these await your instructions’. He says he will be London in early midsummer so can seal them in a packet and send them to Robert Browning then. This letter has not been transcribed.
