<value>This is a letter written from Firenze, Italy, in Italian. In this letter, Dall'Ongaro says that Karl Theodor Ferdinand Grün will bring this letter. He says ‘there are many points of contact between you, the love of beauty, of truth, and the affection for this old Italy, fatherland of thinking and art’. He wishes Barrett Browning could meet John Bowring and asks for news of Barrett Browning, sending regards to her husband and child.

This letter is transcribed in The Brownings’ Correspondence, vol. 29, pp. 52–53 (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2023). It is available online from The Brownings' Correspondence website, numbered 4862.</value>
