<value>70 medium and large size pen and ink schematic drawings (some with colour added by hand) on paper made semi-transparent, and 4 photogenic drawing contact negatives.

The drawings derive from observations of magnified snow crystal structures, drawn to symmetrical proportions. Some are cut into hexagonal shape, and show the three-dimensional structure of a crystal lattice.

The figure numbers refer to the images of snow crystal types reproduced in ‘Snow Crystals observed by James Glaisher, Esq., F.R.S., from February 8th to March 10th, 1855’ published by the British Meteorological Society 1855.</value>
