<type>content description</type>
<value>The Reeves & Sons records are a small group sitting within the larger Winsor & Newton archive as a result of the company take-over of **. The limited quantity of records is likely to be the result of significant losses during the Second World War, when the Esses factory of Reeves & Sons was badly bombed. The collection here comprises predominantly financial information, as well as some marketing and sales records from the post-war era. The Reeves & Sons sub-fonds also contains the records of Dryad, another manufacturer of artists' materials, who were bought by Reeves & Sons in **.</value>
