He mentions the eminent personalities who wrote the prefaces for the earlier five volumes (among them the famous photographer Brassai). The 6th volume, published like the others by Robert Passeron, will include some one hundred reproductions of mezzotints. He would be most grateful if this preface could be written (in English; to be translated by Avati’s wife) before next January. In the meantime he is sending Strachan a small book with a few illustrations of recent engravings.
