<type>content description</type>
<value>1 sheet folded, 3pp. Jenner writes that a guardian of a young man had contacted about his protégé being placed under the care of a chemist or druggist in the country. However, Jenner replied that it was a mistake to believe he could become a chemist that way and that London was the place for him. He took the liability of mentioning Phillips’ name and wonders whether he could recommend a situation or would like to take him as an apprentice himself.
He goes on to refer to the National Vaccine Establishment which had been a source of much vexation to him and states that due to the very extraordinary & unexpected manner in which it was organised he found it impossible to accept the post allotted for him.</value>
