John Romney's hurried reply to 2 of William Hayley's letters, giving the whereabouts of the BIshop of Llandaff and Col Romney, and covers the sale of some of George Romney's paintings: he writes that he expected the Transfiguration to fetch "100 or 200 Guineas; it was sold for 61/2 Guineas". Promises to send Hayley "that Head of Prospero" and writes that "The Sale was a bad one", which lots remained unsold, and reports on who bought a few of the paintings and what they paid. Mentions that he gave the catalogue to Mr Saunders to give to Hayley.</value>
