But he was only shown a few, and none that give him a good enough idea of the \"the Action\" which he needed. He still copied two \"for the sake of the Scenery whch is grand indeed\" and later wrote to Sir Roger Curtis, which should have been \"forwarded to him in a packet from the Admiralty,\" but wasn't. Wright says he wishes Hayley \"or some friend of yours would address a Letter to him at Gibr in favor of me\" and suggests the information that the letter should include.\n\nWright exhibited a painting titled \"View of Gibraltar during the destruction of the Spanish Floating Batteries, 13 September 1782' in Covent Garden, London April-June 1785. The painting was lost, but a picture acquired by the Agnes Etherington Art Centre has since been attributed to Wright.
