      <value>Letter: 1 half page
Drawings: 1 half page detached from the letter

The letter describes the materials and processes required to construct the tank depicted in the accompanying drawings. Bunce also explains how clay should be treated when used in waterworks. "Clay has some years been a good deal disused in water works from a supposition that it dissolved with the water but it is now pretty generally believed that the worms do the mischief." To prevent this, he advises mixing the clay with "pounded lime to prevent the worms eating holes in it. this is a late discovery."

He mentions that Tom Hayley has called on him.

The drawings comprise:
1. Section of the tank from North to South
2. Section from West to East
3. plan

"Scale of an inch to a foot"

On the back is a note from Thomas Saxby saying that he "Cannot Remember the Exact measure of it But I think it was 12 Feet Long in the Lonist [sic] place..."</value>
