A playful letter about Flaxman and Tom Hayley's interest in Aristotle. Hayley offers to send Tom either complete works or best of Aristotle, but suggests they would be better off reading other "Greek and Latin authors" as Horace and Cicero express the same ideas better.

Hayley says he would happily send his entire library to Flaxman and Tom, but - given that Tom cannot find half an hour to write to his father once a week, how could he possibly find the time to read the "cargo of books" requested? Hayley also asks why, given his expertise, he has not been asked for his opinion/recommendations.</value>
