He proceeds to describe a "transient" visit from the former, and the departure from Eartham of the latter, says he longs "to see the Circe [by Romney] you describe so well", and lists "some sketches of Fancy-Pictures, which He threw on Canvass after you left us ... a scene from the Wife of Baths Tale, a Knight on Horse back, a Witch, & a Circle of Nymphs dancing by Moonlight". He writes of his son: "The little Alphonso does not forget you for being askd [sic] by me which of Romneys four sketches He would have, He repeatedly walked up to yr Portrait, & said with more Gallantry than good Pronunciation the Moose -- I hope you will consider this as a high compliment, when you recollect the Picture I have mentioned of the dancing Nymphs & the Moon". Hayley continues" We rejoice that you found yr good Father so well" and asks to be remembered "both to Him, & Giovanni [John Saville]". He thanks Seward for the music she and Saville have for sent Fanny Heron and recommended for Eliza, "but you forgot to inclose the peper you speak of from yr Father".
