Dear Lucas
                - perhaps you will come to me this afternoon - as I am at a loss how to dispose of and arrange the prints You [t/n: 'have' crossed out] sent on Saturday - and I know not exactly of what they consist -
         I wish to tell you of a plan I have to restore to his rights - the print of the ''Ships aground'' - I have little doubt it may be made a most effective print - and if so will prevent the new one of the Bridge - which must be on too small a scale to be efficient.
  this plan will put us a little forwarder but - it must come into the 4th Number making the ''Red Hill'' - to pendent to the ''Canal

<verso>
           Mr Constable [t/n: written inversely, crossed out]

Mr Lucas -
say at what hour you come this Evg. 5 or 6 . -
