TRANSCRIPT: --- Mr Lucas Feb. 21 Dear Lucas I send Pitt with a little strainer - and will you send by time all the sketches & drawings - &c &c &c which relate to the Waterloo - - which I am now about - I hope to see you this Eving - for I am very anxious to lose no time. If you cannot look out the things now - bring them with me the Eving - & send back any other lumber of mine which is in your way - I am with child to see a proof of the Nore . but do not hurry - Mr Martin* told me that our work made some impression at the Conversations & many artists said ''that was a work they must have'' - can anything be better than -''The Glebe Farm''. not a Glebe Farm - the one is general - the other particular - Pitt waits - Yours truly J.C- --- *Shirley identifies Mr Martin as a printseller.
