For
Mr Lucas

4 Apr. 1832
Dear Lucas-
I shall be at home this Eveng? & tomorrow morning -? I am going today to the private view at 1 o clock
perhaps you will [t/n: 'You' crossed out] send by bearer Pitt - the Lock which you have strained -
I shall like to see it.
about me - & the others that one of yous & mine are in the portfolio -
How goes on the Castle & when you have a proof to show I want all to be at an End - & to know my fate.
Pitt will come back from you to me -
I hope to have now a little rest for God knows I have had a sad barking at our pandemonium*-
Yours truly J.C.
