Dear Lucas
                 I slept in town last night to be ready to receive you and the prints early this morning -
         I now send Pitt . lest there should be some mistake - for often between two chairs we fall . I hope this well not be the case between [t/n: word deleted] us and the book -
         I want to read my fly letter* to you - I staid all day yesterday at Hampd [t/n: Hampstead] to write it and came to sleep in town for the prints this mrng [t/n: morning] -     Yours
