<value>This leaf contains instructions written by John Constable and sent to David Lucas. Both Shirley and Beckett date between to late 1836 and early 1837 (Shirley specifies between 11 November 1836 and 19 January 1837). The published transcript of this leaf can be found in Shirley (No. 187, page 138) and Beckett (Appendix C, No. XI, c, page 458). The leaf has been numbered S187, referring to the order in Shirley's publication. A pencil inscription on the top reads ‘? Nov 1836'.
