The leaf has been numbered S189, referring to the order in Shirley's publication. \n\nTRANSCRIPT:\n\n---\nTo\n   Mr Lucas\n[t\/n: there are some lines drawn and numbers written above and below the name]\n\n                                                                                          -Old Years day-\n                                                                                                           1836\nDear Lucas                                                                                     (no more)\n                 I send Joseph as my mind is so anxious about the present proof that it rather disturbs my night - tell me if any thing has occurred amiss.
