TRANSCRIPT: --- Thursday My dear Sir/ I have scrawled something for you, but if it does not please you tell me so at once & frankly. - You will see that I have said something like what you said yourself of you having imbibed the spirit of Constable's art. It occurred to me that art [?] might [?] better for me than for you. If you think so perhaps you will leave those [ends?] out of your own part of the business. I hope you will be able to get a proof of the letter press struck off immediately, & if comment to you I would rather you should [bring?] it to me than send it by post. _ You will be sure to find me at home before 11, but after that [time?] I am uncertain - You will see that in the proof of the Mill, which I return you I have doctored the small tree a little, the line of the trunk seemed to me up rather disagreeably into the foliage there. The sky seems to me all you could [?] - I think it could be well to get some of your prospectus printed before Wednesday [?], as there is a canvas [?] at Hampstead, & any of Constable's picture will be [?].
