TRANSCRIPT:

               Edgware Road
                      July 9th 1842

My dear Sir/
                   I have spoken to Mr Havenfield about Mr [?]'s picture, and he says there will be no difficulty [t/n: 'about it' crossed out], and he can have the copy of Rubens, which is at present in Cunningham place . -
             I am very sorry to give you the trouble of so many long walks here, but I cannot get on without seeing you [?] as there [?] passages in the very interesting notes you brought here the other evg which I wish you to explain to me .- If therefore you will appoint any evng on which, without much inconvenience, you can [?] me with [a call?], I shall feel much obliged, &amp; the notes [^] I shall [?] will be copied out so that you can take them &amp; all the others back with you.
