Dear Lucas.
            I am very much pleased at the account my daughter [Betty?] gives me of your conduct during my absence and that I can speak myself and with pleasure I will do so.// to the [?] of your general conduct since you have been with me, will I now be highly gratifying to ask who [?] you, and most particularly to those Times who were the cause of my having you. I shall not fail to remember [t/n: word deleted] in every way that lies in my power, to befriend you ---
      If Angel is coming here, [?] him off by the 9th. tell him to go to Robert's at Calais [t/n: 'and bring with him' crossed out] send by him two Prints not the Best of the Children in the [Horn?] to [?] with Mr. Roberts - and two to bring to me . with a Proof of the Cottage Girl. Keeping Boy -&amp; Cupid from Own. The [Horn?] form Chintall this May be folded keeping the fold as open as possible --
2 proofs of Constable Landscape. and Proofs of the Plate from John Lucas h [?] Arnale has been working upon. up to the latest time. these may come in a port-folio directing it to Mr Robert's Case for Me Reynolds Paris.
      If the Plate is done the size of the Politician. let me know or indeed let James lay a fine ground [?] it everything two inches at Bottom [t/n: rough sketch here]
and In that he sticks at it - I know of nothing else particular - like angle to be careful of the Portfolio, it may hide [?] him in the [Dilligence?]
