The published transcript of this letter can be found in Beckett (page 359). A pencil inscription on the top left corner reads 'Not in Shirley / MS3-1951'. Alongside the letter, the envelope also includes a typescript transcript, prepared by former Museum staff. TRANSCRIPT: --- Mr David Lucas Corner of Hermatage Street 57 Harrow Road Charlotte St Monday Evng Dear Lucas I am much disappointed on coming down this afternoon to find no ''prints'' of the 4th No. I sent for Sparrow to know if he had received them & he has not - & he says he cannot let me have either the ''India'' or the proof - till you send him the prints as it is so much easier to put them all up together - as this is vexatious [do?] dear Lucas send the 10 copies of the prints of the 4 No - to Sparrows' office - as soon as may be - for I am annoyed - I lay all at the door of the old Bowman* - & only for both our sakes - with a bow string round his neck-- I have given up all Idea of letting this house at any rate. pray send these soon tomorrow - for this is vexing for it delays the whole.
