Brontë thanks Miss Wooler for her 'last kind and welcome letter'. At Miss Wooler's request, she sends two reviews of 'Villette': one from the Examiner and one from the Morning Advertiser. She says that Ellen Nussey has a third review from the Literary Gazette which she shall also send on. Brontë says the reception to 'Villette' has been favourable thus far and asks to be remembered 'very kindly to all at Heckmondwike'.
