She mentions Miss Mitford\u2019s view of the portrait of Lady Burlington and discusses evening fashions. She also asks for a cutting from Mitford\u2019s garden on behalf of \u2018Miss Bordman the daughter, now the orphan daughter of a clergyman in Kent\u2019.\n\nBarrett Browning has incorrectly given the date as December but it is in fact October. Per 'The Brownings' Correspondence', 'Confirmation of EBB\u2019s erroneous dating is provided by the continuing discussion of topics contained in the previous letter, and by the envelope with a Reading Receiving Office stamp of 19 October 1841'. This letter is divided between Fitzwilliam Museum and Wellesley College.
