She criticises the Athen\u00e6um and says she was as 'disgusted' as Sarianna was by a contemptous review of George Sand's 'History of My Life', parts II and III. She says they are sorry to hear Robert Browning Senior is unwell and that Miss White brought her some 'exquisite' Florence flowers. She discusses the weather and the harvest in Italy as well as her own family, particularly her sister Arabel who she describes as 'the martyr of our family'. \n\nThis is an incomplete fragment.
