In this letter, Barrett Browning apologises for the delay in writing to Sarianna Browning. She writes that her sister Arabella has taken a house in London. She discusses Robert Browning's upcoming ideas of where to go next and says that possibilities include Elba, Rome, Naples or Egypt. Barrett Browning says: 'I agree to everything– I dont feel to care much—as long as it is not England– Only he is very changeable, as you know, & these are thoughts rather than plans.' She is sorry for Sarianna’s books and the difficulties of storing them. She says that 'Fanny Haworth has just arrived from Rome—looking very much better' but will soon be off to Switzerland. Barrett Browning has said she has not seen any of the Florentines 'except Isa Blagden who has been very very kind, very much herself to me. She says I have taken a dislike to the whole human race—but this is’nt true I hope, of me yet.' She concludes the letter mentioning Pen and Robert playing duets together.
