In this letter, Barrett Browning writes that Robert Browning abides by his timetable of taking homeopathic \u2018globules\u2019. She says that the medium Daniel Dunglas Hume will be visiting next month. She expresses her unhappiness with politics in England and the state of Anglo-French relations. \n\nShe says that 'Penini' went to a party alone the previous night and received much praise. 'Fanny Haworth is all at sea again about her plans, afraid of the expence & fatigue of travelling, yet by no means happy here.' The letter is continued on the envelope by Robert Browning who mentions their 'poor little old Porter' died suddenly and at an advanced age. He infers that Casa Guidi must be healthy so he has taken it for another year.\n\nA transcript of this letter is available online via The Brownings' Correspondence Project numbered 4149. It is also published in 'The Brownings' Correspondence' (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2017), vol. 25, pp. 70-72."}]},"identifier":[{"accession_number":"GBR\/280\/MS.1.R-1917\/3\/17","primary":true,"type":"accession number","value":"GBR\/280\/MS.1.R-1917\/3\/17"},{"priref":"110010064","type":"priref","value":"110010064"},{"type":"old reference no.","value":"Browning(EB)\/55"},{"type":"uri","uri":"https:\/\/data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk\/id\/object\/110010064","value":"https:\/\/data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk\/id\/object\/110010064"}],"institutions":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"agent-149638","uid":"adlib-agent-149638","uuid":"7376d833-d0a7-3be0-916e-9c892b7a24d8"},"summary_title":"The Fitzwilliam Museum"}],"lifecycle":{"creation":[{"date":[{"earliest":1858,"latest":1858,"note":[{"value":"[Postmark: 25 March 1858]"}],"value":"1858-03-25"}],"maker":[{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"agent-164438","uid":"adlib-agent-164438","uuid":"134c98ee-69a6-3752-982b-477276489b51"},"summary_title":"Browning, Elizabeth Barrett"},{"@link":{"type":"reference"},"admin":{"id":"agent-18959","uid":"adlib-agent-18959","uuid":"39259c5a-4c1e-374d-9773-12b77ff96b14"},"summary_title":"Browning, Robert"}]}]},"summary_title":"MS Letter, Elizabeth Barrett Browning to Sarianna Browning","title":[{"value":"MS Letter, Elizabeth Barrett Browning to Sarianna Browning"}],"type":{"base":"object","type":"OBJECT"}}
