<value>This is a letter written from Bagni di Lucca, Italy. In this letter, Barrett Browning suggests that Haworth get up a book of her own. Barrett Browning criticises her publishers and says that Mr Spicer is to visit. She also discusses spiritualism at length and says that though Robert Browning is sceptical, he is nonetheless 'interested' and she swears she has seen him 'considerably shaken more than once'. She also asks why Haworth is ‘out of spirits’.

This letter has been transcribed in 'The Brownings' Correspondence', vol. 19, pp. 269–273 (Kansas: Wedgestone Press, 2012). It is transcribed online via The Brownings' Correspondence project, numbered 3262.</value>
